25+ goal-scorer now available on the trade market!

This could have a huge impact on this year’s trade deadline!

The Detroit Red Wings are currently nine points out of the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference and, unfortunately for their fans, they are not on a hot streak to turn things around...

For a second year in a row, GM Ken Holland might enter the trade deadline in a selling mode. And with just three victories in their last 10 games, it might be a clear case of selling the veteran to grab prospects and picks to build a stronger future.

In a recent mailbag segment, MLive.com's Ansar Khan mentioned the Wings could wait closer to the deadline to get a better return, but also hinted at the possibility of Detroit moving a 25+ goal-scorer that was not expected to hit the market.

Gustav Nyquist, who is signed through 2018-19 with a $4.75-million annual cap hit and a no-trade clause, might accept a move as Tomas Tatar is not expected to be shipped out of Hockey Town.

While Nyquist might only be traded in the summer, several other teams will investigate about what it would need to acquire him.

It has been clear in trade chatter that defenseman Mike Green is Detroit's best trade chip, while backup goalie Petr Mrazek has been the subject of recent trade speculation and could be shopped in the next weeks.

Things will certainly be moving in Detroit!
