Habs' head coach Claude Julien decided to make a few changes to his lines and defense pairings today, just hours before the Canadiens' games against the Vancouver Canucks. Since the team has lost four of its last five games, Julien has to find winning combinations.
Former NHL head coach Bob Hartley had a pretty bold suggestion for Julien, today. He suggested that power forward Nicolas Deslauriers should have a bigger offensive role tonight, so he can finally show everyone what he's capable of.
Here's what the former coach said:
I won championships with players like Nicolas Deslauriers. I would really like to see him play with Drouin or Galchenyuk once in a while. He is a tremendous skater and is skilled. He's ready to show what he's able to do."
The 26-year-old forward played 14 games with the Canadiens this season. He recorded one goal and three assists.
Do you agree with Hartley?
