Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Andreas Johnsson is having quite a season so far with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL! The 23-year old forward, drafted 202nd by Toronto in 2013, has scored ten goals and added nine assists for 19 total points in 22 games played this year. Last year, in his first season in North-America, the Gavle, Sweden native scored 20 goals and added 27 assists for 47 total points in 75 games played, and added six points (all goals) in 11 playoff games.
Johnsson played three full seasons in Sweden with Frolunda before he joined the Marlies last season, and this has probably helped his development a lot! In 194 games, he produced 113 points (regular season and playoffs included).
Giving the fact that the Leafs are struggling offensively lately, should they consider calling Johnsson up?
