The Detroit Red Wings have reportedly been active on the trade front as of late, and tonight's scouting presence may have confirmed those rumors.
The Red Wings are in Philadelphia on Wednesday night taking on the Flyers, and Flyers insider Dave Isaac is now reporting that no fewer than nine teams have showed up to scout the game.
According to Isaac those teams are the Las Vegas Golden Knights, Pittsburgh Penguins, Nashville Predators, Chicago Blackhawks, Ottawa Senators, Florida Panthers, St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars and New York Islanders.
Particularly interesting for the Red Wings here is the fact that the Panthers, a team desperate searching for a reliable goaltender to hold down the net while Roberto Luongo recovers from injury, are taking a look.
General manager Ken Holland has reportedly been trying to move goaltender Petr Mrazek, something that the Red Wings fan base would likely welcome at this stage of his career.
It has to be said however that any trade discussed this evening could only take effect on December 28th after the National Hockey League's roster freeze.
