Confirmed: Leafs fans are happy about this healthy scratch.

Mike Babcock had about 24 hours to sleep on this decision, and it was probably feared that it would be a sufficient amount of time for the Toronto Maple Leafs' bench boss to have a change of heart.

Surprisingly, he stuck to his guns.

Roman Polak is officially a healthy scratch tonight, something that seemed just about impossible, given Babcock's "love affair" for the defenseman.

Polak was in a rotation with Connor Carrick on Travis Dermott's right side in practice on Friday, and the speculations were that Carrick would indeed draw in tonight against the Ottawa Senators.

Turns out the theories were correct.

Here's tonight's projected lineup.

As the tweet above mentioned, there was also the Dermott-Carrick rotation, which is confirmed to be the bottom pairing tonight.
