The week prior to the Christmas break was a good one for the Minnesota Wild and veteran Zach Parise, who skated with his teammates before the holidays.
While he remains out without a timetable for his return to action, head coach Bruce Boudreau revealed on Wednesday that the forward might go and play a few games in Iowa.
"You could see out there he's getting more involved in everything," Boudreau previously told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "We want to make sure -- his has been such a long, lingering injury, not only for this year, for previous years -- that when he plays, he's fully ready."
Parise has been skating for the past month but hasn't progressed to a full practice since undergoing Oct. 24 surgery. He will play a game in Iowa and then come back to his team.
It sounds like he could return in January, which is exciting news to Wild fans!
On the other end, Boudreau did confirm that Nino Niederreiter would not take part in tonight's game agains the Dallas Stars.
