Zach Werenski was one very happy that his poor teammate, Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Seth Jones, had to miss the All-Star Game this past weekend due to an illness.

However, someone is quite unhappy about the turn of events and that is Minnesota Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau. The two clubs are facing tonight, and Boudreau does not understand why Jones, who is feeling better, is allowed to take part in tonight's game.

According to NHL rules, players who get voted into the All-Star Game, but decide not to play in the game are handed a one-game suspension to be served immediately after or before the All-Star break.

The Wild head coach said he doesn’t understand how the league can justify allowing Jones to play Tuesday given the rule.

Boudreau pointed out that Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews was forced to sit out the first game back after missing the All-Star Game in 2016. Other players were sanctioned too this time around, but Jones seems to be the exception to the rule...

The young blue liner has eight goals and 24 assists over 49 games with the Jackets this season.
