Bad news, Edmonton Oilers fans.
Connor McDavid was apparently hurt when he blocked a shot from Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry, at the end of the third period. He limped off the ice and left for the locker room.
Oilers' head coach Todd McLellan gave us an update about his superstar's condition after the game. According to him, the X-ray came back negative, which means his foot isn't broken.
He is even expected to play against the Winnipeg Jets, on December 27. McLellan added that McDavid's foot is sore, but that he should be fine.
The Oilers beat the Habs 4-1.
