A National Hockey League goaltender has suffered a mysterious injury and it sounds serious.
Chicago Blackhawks insider Mark Lazerus is reporting that veteran goaltender Corey Crawford has been injured, that news has been confirmed by head coach Joel Quenneville.
Quenneville is refusing to comment on how Crawford got injured but what we do know is that it sounds like he is going to be out for a long time. When asked how long Crawford would be out Quenneville responded by saying:
"I’m going to say indefinite now until we get him on the ice and know more."
Needless to say the Blackhawks losing their number one goaltender is devastating news, and if he is in fact out for an extended length of time this may turn out to be an unmitigated disaster for the team.
