The Calgary Flames have placed defenseman Travis Hamonic on the injured reserve on Friday. The blue liner is suffering from a groin injury.
Fans were already aware Hamonic would be out of the lineup for tonight's game against the Montreal Canadiens. The 27-year-old did not finish Wednesday's contest against the St. Louis Blues. In 32 games this season, Hamonic has recorded a goal and five points.
In a corresponding move, the Flames have recalled defenceman Rasmus Andersson from AHL Stockton.
The 21-year-old was a second-round pick by the Flames in 2015. He has appeared in two games with the team in his career.
