The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that goaltender Brian Elliott has been activated from the team’s injury reserve. Coincidentally, the team has also loaned Alex Lyon to the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms

Lyon struggled in his three game audition with the Flyers this season, posting a 3.93 GAA and .860 save percentage. The 25-year-old has had a solid season with the Phantoms though, where he has split starts with veteran Dustin Tokarski.

As for Elliott, his return couldn’t come quick enough for the Flyers. While he struggled early on this season, the 32-year-old Elliott has posted a respectable 2.77 GAA and .908 save percentage in 38 games.
