Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser didn't fracture his foot last night when he blocked a shot against the Calgary Flames, the team announced on Monday. Boeser had a MRI today, and it didn't reveal any fracture, so the worst scenario has been ruled out for him. Still, there is no timeline for his return yet. The team will provide this information at a later date.
Boeser, 20, has scored 17 goals and added 13 assists for 31 points in 30 games played so far in his rookie season with the Canucks. He was drafted 23rd overall by Vancouver in 2015.
The Canucks are already dealing with a ton of injuries this season, as Bo Horvat, Brandon Sutter, Sven Baertschi and Chris Tanev are already on the IR. Boeser will certainly miss some time with this foot injury, but at least it is not a fractured foot.
