The Vegas Golden Knights have activated defenseman Luca Sbisa from the injured reserve, the team announced on Friday. The 27-year old defenseman missed the last nine games with a lower-body injury. In 23 games played this season, he has ten points and eight penalty minutes. He is expected to be in the lineup tonight to face the Chicago Blackhawks.
Drafted 19th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers 2008, Sbisa played 488 games in the NHL with the Flyers, the Anaheim Ducks, the Vancouver Canucks ant the Golden Knights, registering 98 points. He added four points in 20 playoff games. The Golden Knights claimed him from the Canucks in the expansion draft.
Vegas are currently first in the Pacific division with a record of 27-10-2. Chicago are seventh in the Central division with a 19-14-6 record. Malcom Subban is expected to get the start for the Golden Knights, and he will be facing Jeff Glass.
