Breaking: Jagr's career falling further down the drain

Ageless wonder no more.

Jaromir Jagr's Canadian hockey career was cut short recently when it was revealed that he and the team were working on an exit strategy, that either involved getting traded to another NHL club, or returning overseas.

A recent development has all but spelled the end for the once ageless wonder.

At 45-years-old, being placed on injured reserve once again doesn't inspire confidence in teams thinking of acquiring him in a trade. The league is fast and young, and with salary cap and roster size restraints, it will be hard for any team to justify taking him on.

While it looked like he still had something to give after last season, it doesn't look like he has any gas left in the tank.

Jagr has 1,921 points in 1,733 regular season games in his NHL career. It doesn't look like he'll hit 2,000.

He also won't be participating in the Olympics for the Czech Republic, per multiple reports.

Maybe he has a career coming in lacrosse though?
