This news has been quite the roller-coaster ride, and now has just taken a turn for the worst.
National Hockey League fans and insiders held their breath last night, when New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider left the game, against the Washington Capitals, and did not return.
At the time, NHL.com's Dan Rosen was reporting that no injury has been referenced for Kreider, and so, speculation was of course that the Rangers had a trade in place and wanted to make sure he does not get hurt.
It was finally revealed that Kreider did indeed suffer an upper-body injury. And now we know that the injury is quite serious. The top forward has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his right arm and will be sidelined indefinitely.
It is believed that Kreider, who has 11 goals and 22 points, was ill, and now we know this is truly a nightmare. This is quite a tough blow for the Rangers...
