Injuries have been the storyline of the Boston Bruins' season, particularly for star center David Krejci.

He's been officially shut down by his team for the year, as he has been placed on IR and won't make a return until 2018.

Krejci has already missed 14 games this season, and despite that, has been one of the team's best producers in terms of points per game, with 14 in 18 games.

The announcement was that he won't be back until after the Christmas holiday - he's been placed on IR, which means he will be out for at least a week - but with the repeated injuries, they will take their time with the centerman, making sure not to rush him back into action before January.
