Toronto Maple Leafs fans and media alike have been clamouring for a certain call-up all season from the Toronto Marlies in the AHL, and they've finally been granted their wish.

Travis Dermott has been recalled, with Martin Marincin being sent back in the transaction.

The 34th overall pick in 2015 has been an excellent performer for the Marlies, scoring 24 points in 59 games in 2016-17 on the blueline, and improving his pace this season. His 17 points in 26 games puts him on pace to reach over 38 points in the same number of games he played total last season.

Marincin only suited up for 2 games with the Leafs this season after Nikita Zaitsev fell to injury.
