Breaking: Leafs prospect embarrasses himself, costs USA the tournament

His teammates certainly didn't help, but man oh man is this bad.

Team USA, host of the World Juniors this year, look to be heading to the bronze medal match as Sweden sunk a nail in the coffin midway through the third period.

Already down 2-0, a completely botched power play for the Americans saw the Swedes pot two goals in succession while shorthanded, bringing the score to 4-0.

With the way Sweden has played all tournament, you just know that the fat lady all but sung.

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Joseph Woll (3rd round, 62nd overall in 2016) was in net for all 4 goals, regularly getting beat glove side, a glaring weakness of his throughout the tournament.

Kieffer Bellows managed to pot one in with 7:36 to go in the period, as well as Brady Tkachuk with a few minutes left. But it was too little, too late for USA.

A goalie is never entirely to blame, but at the end of the day, if you keep getting beat around the same area, something has got to give.
