Breaking: McLellan announces roster for tonight's game, goalie situation unclear this weekend

The Oilers take on the Coyotes tonight.

The Edmonton Oilers prepare to take on the Arizona Coyotes tonight, and it appears the lineup will remain unchanged.

The thought was that Al Montoya would get the start tonight against an "easy" team (depending on who you ask - there's no such things as an easy team in today's NHL, standings be damned). But as Todd McLellan explained, he's only had one practice with the team, and with desperation rising to win games, he won't risk losing easier points.

This decision, however, puts into question what will happen tomorrow against the Vegas Golden Knights. Among the hottest teams in the league, and especially at home, will McLellan opt for the traditional goalie swap on the second game of a back-to-back, or rely on Talbot for two straight nights?

That remains to be seen.

Here is what the lineup will look like:

It looks like Connor McDavid may be in for a fun night on his 21st birthday, as many people will be in attendance to see him hopefully take down the Golden Knights in Vegas.
