Tampa Bay is the centre of the hockey universe this weekend, as the NHL's best players and executives gather for a weekend of All-Star festivities and meetings.

One of the hot topics on the docket today was international play for the 2018-19 season.

It was announced today that the Edmonton Oilers will be involved in a few games in two different countries.

The Oilers and Leon Draisaitl will head to Germany for a pre-season game.

But wait, there's more!

Edmonton will take on the New Jersey Devils in Sweden, just as the Ottawa Senators did with the Colorado Avalanche this year.

Let's hope the Oilers' season doesn't crash and burn like the Sens' did after their Sweden series.

If Edmonton wins the Rasmus Dahlin sweepstakes, that'll be an interesting storyline to follow.
