It was announced by Penguins executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford on Tuesday.

Defenseman Kevin Czuczman has been re-assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.

Oleksiak, who will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season, took part in 21 games this year with the Stars, producing three points.
