Nazem Kadri made the waves when he ripped out a chunk of Joe Thornton's beard in an early-game fight on Thursday night. There was some concern over his health following the game when he missed practice on Friday.
Mike Babcock later revealed that it was a maintenance day - which typically isn't a cause for concern. However, players missing practice due to unexplained maintenance days has turned into missed games in the past, so they weren't necessarily out of the woods just yet.
Fortunately, as the Leafs hold optional skate this morning ahead of their matchup against Brock Boeser and the Vancouver Canucks tonight, Kadri hit the ice to hopefully get his legs warm for the game.
It's not 100% certain that he dresses tonight, but if you're taking bets on it, you'd be pretty safe betting on him being there.
