Ken Warren of the Ottawa Sun reports that Senators forward Bobby Ryan could miss "signficant time" due to another hand injury. The poor player has been sidelined with third hand injury in the last 12 months.

Sens head coach Guy Boucher was "non-committal" regarding Ryan's situation before the team's bye week after Ryan left during an 8-2 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Jan. 9 due to an apparent hand injury.

In 31 games this season, Ryan has tallied five goals and added 12 assists. He did miss action because of hand injuries on three separate ocassions this season and did not play on Jan. 10 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He is doubtful to play Thursday against the St. Louis Blues.

Better news on the injury front

Mark Borowiecki should rejoin the lineup for the first time since suffering a concussion in a scary collision with Brendan Smith of the New York Rangers back on Nov. 19.

Borowiecki had 39 hits in 12 games before being hurt and will be a nice addition to the Sens lineup.
