No luck for the Ottawa Senators. After hitting the ice on Tuesday for their morning skate ahead of their game against the New Jersey Devils at home, it was revealed that forwards Derick Brassard and Nate Thompson will not be in uniform.
On top of that, the worst has been confirmed for forward Bobby Ryan - yes, yet again. The Senators’ winger, who suffered his fourth hand injury of the season last Thursday against the Anaheim Ducks, has been sent for a second opinion after seeing a specialist Friday in Ottawa.
It has been confirmed that he suffered ligament damage and will miss up to three weeks of action.
The Senators were also hoping to have winger Mark Stone back from a leg injury that has forced him to miss seven consecutive games as early as tonight, but the wait will have to be longer.
He might get the green light on Thursday.
Tough blow for Ottawa - let's hope for them good news is on the way...
