According to BSN Denver’s Adrian Dater, Colorado Avalanche forward and Hart Trophy candidate Nathan MacKinnon will be out of his team’s lineup 2-4 weeks.
Ouch. That hurts. The 22-year old, former 1st overall pick has an incredible 24 goals and 61 points in 49 games with the Avs this season and is the biggest reason that his team is back in the playoff hunt after a historically bad 2016-17 season.
Neither the team nor the player have divulged the exact nature of the injury, but it’s believed that MacKinnon injured his shoulder on Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks.
More to come on this story as it develops.
