Detroit Red Wings forward Luke Glendening will be missing a minimum of four weeks with an upper-body injury, head coach Jeff Blashill confirmed today. He injured his hand in Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Glendening, 28, was signed as an undrafted free agent by Detroit in 2012. He played 327 games in the NHL so far, producing 70 points, and added five points in 17 playoff games.
This season, the Grand Rapids, Michigan forward scored seven goals and added three assists for ten total points in 37 games played prior to his injury.
The Wings are currently fifth in the Atlantic division with a record of 13-14-7, and they will be playing their next game Saturday against the Boston Bruins.
