Breaking: Three key players missing from practice

How long will they be out of action?

Two players were missing during the Boston Bruins' practice as a bug seems to be affecting them. Both Jake DeBrusk and Kevan Miller missed Tuesday's practice after coming down with the flu, as head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed after the skate.

DeBrusk's availability for Wednesday's rivalry game with the Montreal Canadiens will largely depend on how quickly he can recover from the virus. The rookie has established himself with the team's second power-play unit and is riding a point-per-game pace in the last four contests, and recorded a goal during Saturday's matchup against the Canadiens.

As for Noel Acciari, he also missed practice on Tuesday after sustaining an upper-body injury during Monday's loss to the Dallas Stars.

However, coach Cassidy expects he'll be able to play Wednesday against Montreal.

The poor forward has already missed quite a few games this season with different ailments. Despite being sidelined for 14 games, Acciari has racked four goals in five games between Dec. 28 and Jan. 7 on the bottom six, and could boost the team's offense if healthy.

We will have more details on the players' statuses before tomorrow night's contest.
