Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Miro Aaltonen has been slapped with a 2 game suspension by the AHL after boarding Utica Comets' Jayson Megna in the first period of the Toronto Marlies' last game.

The incident left Megna bleeding from the head, and was forced out of the game with an injury.

The hit from behind landed Aaltonen a mere two minute boarding minor.

The Finnish hopeful was signed over the summer on an entry-level contract, and while it was thought that he'd crack the big roster as the fourth line center, Mike Babcock elected to go with experience, alternating Dominic Moore and Eric Fehr in that position.

Aaltonen has 16 points in 28 games so far this season.
