Breaking: Two Sens forwards injured!

Ottawa Senators forwards Bobby Ryan and Zack Smith will both miss some time with injuries. Ryan is dealing with a swollen finger and Smith has been placed on the injured reserve due to a shoulder injury. He's expected to miss at least two weeks. 

Ryan 30, was drafted second overall by the Anaheim Ducks in 2005. He played 694 games in the NHL with the Ducks and the Sens, registering 485 points, and added 32 points in 52 playoff games. The Sens acquired him via trade in 2013, in a deal that sent Jakob Silfverberg in Anaheim. so far this season, the Cherry Hill, New Jersey native scored four goals and added nine assists for 13 points in 25 games played.

Smith, 29, was drafted 79th overall by the Senators in 2008. He played 498 games in the NHL so far, registering 154 points, and added nine points in 45 playoff games. He scored two goals and added six assists for eight points in 24 games played this season.
