Breaking: Vegas hands out another big contract

The Golden Knights keep loading up with talent this offseason.

Late last night, Vegas Golden Knights general manager George McPhee announced that they team has re-signed defenseman Colin Miller to a four year, $15.5 million contract with an annual average cap hit of $3.875 million.

The 25 year old Miller put up a career high 10 goals and 41 points in 82 games with the expansion Golden Knights during the regular season and three goals and seven points in 20 playoff games. Acquired from the Boston B?ruins in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft, Miller's career high prior to this past season was just 16 points.

*VEGAS (July 7, 2018)* - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager *George McPhee* announced today , July 7, that the team has signed defenseman Colin Miller to a four-year contract through the 2021 -22 season worth an average annual value of $3.875 million.
Miller, 25, led all defensemen on the team and turned in a career-high of 41 points (10 G, 31 A) including five goals and 17 points on the power play to go with 53 penalty minutes during the 2017-18 regular season. He tacked on seven more points (3 G, 4 A) during the 2017-18 Stanley Cup Playoffs.The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native, has collected 70 points (19 G, 51 A) to go with 147 penalty minutes in 185 career games over the course of three seasons with the Golden Knights and Boston Bruins.
Miller was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights during the 2017 Expansion Draft on June 21 from the Bruins.
