New York Rangers center Mika Zibanejad, whose concussion symptoms forced him to miss a seventh straight game in Wednesday’s 3-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators, will not be in action this weekend.
The young forward will miss an eighth game in a row tonight, as his team faces the Los Angeles Kings.
Head coach Alain Vigneault indicated that Zibanejad will practice on Monday. He will also miss Saturday's game agains the Boston Bruins.
The forward also skated on Friday, but as Vigneault mentioned he still needs to follow the right protocol to return to action.
In 24 games this season with the Blue Shirts, Zibanejad has tallied 11 goals and 22 points.
