It was to be expected... On Tuesday, the Edmonton Oilers, who needed to make room on their roster for the approaching return of defenseman Andrej Sekera, placed young forward Nathan Walker on waivers.
The 23-year-old had been placed there earlier this month by the Washington Capitals, who selected the first NHL Australian player in the third round, 89th overall, in the 2014 Entry Draft.
On Wednesday, the Caps claimed him back!
The 23-year-old just played two games with the Oilers this season, and did not manage to record any points.
He appeared in seven games for the Capitals this season and posted one goal and had four penalty minutes.
And now he's back!
