If you missed tonight’s Game 2 matchup between the Nashville Predators and Winnipeg Jets… you need to really re-evaluate just exactly what you’re doing with your life. The two Western Conference juggernauts played perhaps the most exciting game of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs thus far, trading goals back and forth and engaging in PLENTY of rough stuff.

The game featured plenty of fantastic highlights, including a slap shot ripper by Preds forward Viktor Arvidsson:

Not to be outdone, teammate Ryan Johansen went top shelf after absolutely UNDRESSING the Jets’ defense:

Oh my… I think I need to take a shower after watching that goal. So dirty…

In the dying second of the second period the heat got turned up thanks to Preds defenseman P.K. Subban and Jets sniper Patrik Laine. The pair got tangled up in front of the Preds bench, leading to a nasty exchange between the two superstar players.

Check it out:

For what it’s worth, Subban did not draw a penalty, nor receive a penalty for embellishment on the play. Just moments later though, things would devolve into mayhem deep in the Preds’ zone. Things continued to get nasty and Dustin Byfuglien, affectionately and appropriately known as Big Buff, doled out some punishment of his own, absolutely rag dolling TWO Preds forwards with his bare hands:

Big Buff don’t want none of your shenanigans…

In the third period, it looked as if the Preds might pull out a regulation victory as they managed to hold the Jets at bay for long stretches of play. As has often been the case this season though, all it takes is one shot, one opportunity for Jets sniper Mark Scheifele to inflict some damage. And with just over a minute left on the clock, that's exactly what he did, tying the score at four and sending the game to overtime.

Check it out:

The first overtime was another fast paced, back and forth period of hockey FULL of chances at both ends. But ultimately, it would take a big game player to deliver a big game moment to deliver a decision in this fantastic hockey game. Midway through the second overtime period, Preds forward Kevin Fiala would score an absolute highlight reel BEAUTY to claim a 5-4 victory for the home team.

What an incredible ending to an incredible game.

With tonight's victory, the Preds now pull even with the Jets, tying the series 1-1. The pivotal Game 3 goes Tuesday night in Winnipeg. MUST see TV.
