Date for Bruins' postponed game revealed

The postponed game between the Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins that was originally scheduled for Jan. 4 - has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 8, at TD Garden, the National Hockey League announced today.

The game had been postponed due to a severe snowstorm and blizzard that took place in Boston at the beginning of the new year. 

"On behalf of the Boston Bruins I would like to thank Boston Celtics President Rich Gotham, as well as the Celtics organization, Atlanta Hawks, NBA and TD Garden for their flexibility moving the previously scheduled Celtics game on April 8th to a matinee," said Bruins President Cam Neely. "We are grateful for the flexibility and cooperation of all of these groups which made it possible for the NHL to reschedule our game against the Panthers to the evening of the April 8th."

The start time for the game will be 7:30 p.m. ET, and tickets for the Bruins/Panthers game on January 4 game will be valid for the makeup game on April 8.
