The Edmonton Oilers are back at it tonight following a 5-0 blowout loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night. After putting together three wins last week, the Oilers laid a stinker against the Sabres and will look to turn things around tonight against the Calgary Flames in the latest edition of The Battle of Alberta.

This is the third matchup between the Oilers and Flames this season, with the Oilers taking the first two games in convincing fashion. I mean… who can forget Connor McDavid’s hat trick at the home opener? At this point it’s holding up as the 2017-18 Oilers’ season highlight…

Yeah… that was about as good as it gets.

Tonight the Oilers look to turn things around and it looks like head coach Todd McLellan will go with the same group who let him down so badly on Tuesday evening.

McDavid will play between wingers Drake Caggiula and Anton Slepyshev, meanwhile Jesse Puljujarvi continues to languish on the fourth line.

On defence, Darnell Nurse and Adam Larsson continue to patrol the top unit. Andrej Sekera, with just one point since returning to the team’s lineup, remains on the bottom pairing.

Cam Talbot is expected to get the start in goal.

Puck drop is 7pm at Rogers Place! Go, Oilers, go!
