According to a report from NBC Sports Boston’s Joe Haggerty, Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy has been medically cleared by team doctors following concerns over a minor heart condition.
As Haggerty reports, McAvoy will not be in the Bruins’ lineup tonight when they take on the St. Louis Blues, but expect him to be back in action this weekend when the Bruins host the Toronto Maple Leafs. McAvoy joined his teammates for practice yesterday, the first time he’d been on the ice since his heart procedue.
The dynamic rookie was diagnosed with an abnormal hearth rhthym condition called SVT last week and underwent a a minor procedure to correct the issue. He’s been monitored ever since and doctors have deemed him good to go.
Welcome back, Charlie!
