Trades take place, not only in the National Hockey League, but also, here for instance, in the NBA, where the latest blockbuster trade got several intense reactions in the recent weeks. On July 18th, the Toronrto Raptors shipped DeMar DeRozan to the San Antonio Spurs in a monster deal that sees star forward Kawhi Leonard come north of the border. Toronto also gets three-point threat Danny Green in the deal with backup centre Jakob Poeltl and a 2019 protected first-round draft pick going to the Spurs.

The trade appeared to be an all-in push by the Raptors’ roster on a 2018-19 season that could set Toronto up to finally conquer the East or set the stage for a dramatic rebuild.

When the dust fell down, it was revealed how devastated DeRozan felt by the move.

"I felt like I wasn't treated with what I sacrificed for nine years, with the respect that I thought I deserved," DeRozan said. "By just giving me the say so of letting me know something's going on or it's a chance. That's all I wanted. That's all I wanted. I'm not saying, 'You don't have to trade me' or ... just let me know something is going on because I sacrificed everything. Just let me know. That's all I asked."

You kind of feel bad for the guy when you heard this, however, Edmonton Oilers forward absolutely ripped DeRozan apart for his reaction to being traded by Toronto. During an interview with Spittin Chiclets, the gritty forward did not hold back when talking about the NBA star player's reaction...

"He’s being a little bitter bh at the organization for trading him for Kawhi Leonard — literally a top five player in the league,” Lucic said.

"When I hear him talk about the bitterness and the disrespect and all that type of stuff, it’s like, you didn’t get traded to frickin’ Cleveland. You got traded to San Antonio, a team that competes for a title every year. You get to be coached by the Bill Belichick of basketball with Gregg Popovich. You feel like you’re being disrespected? Come on man, you’re still making $30 million a year living in San Antonio with no state tax. Give me a break, man. Nobody feels bad for you. F off.

Clearly, Lucic only focuses on the business side of things, so let's see what happens when the Oilers look into trading him - once again - this year.
