When Auston Matthews returned to practice before the Christmas break, the Toronto Maple Leafs centre confirmed he has been dealing with concussion symptoms.
Matthews has missed six games after sustaining the injury Dec. 9 when he collided with teammate Morgan Rielly in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
But now, let's move on.
The star forward, who was home in Arizona for the holidays and is now ready to take on the Coyotes in his hometown, has had enough of always answering questions about his head injury.
“I feel good. I don’t think it’s something we need to talk about every day,” he said to TSN. “I feel good. Back to normal. It’s in the past now.”
Fans will be delighted to hear Matthews is ready to focus on the future and the upcoming games of the second half of the season.
