Saturday night’s 3-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights had all the makings of a classic “trap game” for the Edmonton Oilers. With a five day break ahead of them, the Oilers descended upon Las Vegas, of all places, in desperate need of two points in the standings. You could understand if the team weren’t exactly in the right frame of mind to take care of business, but they pulled it together just enough to earn an overtime victory against a very strong Vegas team.
With the win in their back pocket and the Vegas strip ahead of them… the night was just getting started for the young Oilers, especially birthday boy Connor McDavid. The Oiler’s captain officially turned 21, the legal drinking age in the United States, on Saturday. So after scoring his 200th career point and watching teammate Darnell Nurse win the game in OT, McDavid and his teammates hit the Vegas strip for an epic birthday bash.
Oh wait… before that… did you see Oilers fans in Vegas singing “Happy Birthday” to McDavid at the 9:07 mark of the first period? Absolute gold, check it out:
Now about that party…
Hollywood gossip giant TMZ managed to snag an invite to XS Nightclub and snapped some photos from inside the party.

DJ/production duo The Chainsmokers were in attendance, playing a special show for the Oilers captain.
Connor, Vegas and $100 million… sounds like a pretty good time to me!
