The Anaheim Ducks wasted no time to open the scoring against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night! Forward Ondrej Kase scored the first goal of the game on a turnover created by Penguins defenseman Kristopher Letang, and scored a beautiful goal on a breakaway.
Kase, 22, was drafted 205th overall by the Ducks in 2014. He played 76 games in the NHL so far, registering 29 points, and added two points in nine playoff games.
Before tonight's game, the Czech forward had eight goals and six assists for 14 points in 23 games.
The Ducks are currently leading 2-0 after the first period.
