The past few weeks haven't been easy for the Ottawa Senators. The team has lost six of its last eight games, and are currently ranked 29th in the NHL.
Now even though it is fair to believe the playoffs are already out of reach for them, that doesn't mean they have completely given up on the season.
They were able to pull off an unexpected comeback against the San Jose Sharks at the Canadian Tire Center, Friday night. Thanks to a quick and beautiful goal from Matt Duchene just seven seconds into overtime, Ottawa managed to get the better of Peter DeBoer's team.
Mike Hoffman scored four points against San Jose, while Mark Stone and Duchene got three each.
The Sens are going to face the Tampa Bay Lightning in Ottawa, tonight.
