The party keeps going in Washington as the Capitals were special guests before the start of the Washington Nationals’ game on Saturday afternoon just two days after winning the Stanley Cup. Team owner Ted Leonsis was in attendance along with the entire team and coaching staff.

After captain Alex Ovechkin, who appeared sober at the time, threw the ceremonial first pitch, he and teammates headed to the stands to take in the baseball game. And drink a few beers. Scratch that, they drank a whole lot - this needs capital letters:

THE CAPS WERE COMPLETELY DRUNK.

First, someone spotted Ovechkin holding it over his head once again in the middle of an inning as the ball was in play. Then in a middle of an interview, Ovi and some of his teammates broke out in the famous Queen's “We are the champions” song.

“Oh, it’s great, we have fun,” Ovechkin said, stumbling to finish his statement.

And then, Tom Wilson, his linemate whose job in part it is to protect Ovechkin, did just that, helping him break out in the song.

The epic celebration continued after the Nationals’ game. Ovechkin did a keg stand out of the Cup, and then he wound up shirtless when he and a few teammates, including forward T.J. Oshie, ended up into the fountain, swimming, dancing and jumping around.

Yeah….They’re pretty drunk, but they’re definitely having a great time being first-time Stanley Cup champions.

A few sources on social media have reported that the Capitals are heading to Cafe Milano for the rest of the evening and, of course, to keep this party going.

The Caps just got back yesterday from Vegas after beating the Golden Knights in a five-game series in the grande finale. On Thursday night, the Capitals headed to the nightclub Hakkasan at the MGM Grand in Vegas — where the entire team, coaching staff, management, owners and fans went all out to celebrate the victory over the Golden Knights.

The team partied with DJ Tiesto, who was in charge of the music and festivities at the club, and he even invited the entire team to join him in the VIP area behind the DJ booth to party with the Cup. The famous DJ even got to hoist the prestigious trophy in the air in front of a lively crowd of fans and supporters.

They took the plane back home Friday afternoon and today's celebration with the Nationals is one of many events surrounding the team's championship. A parade in Washington will take place on Tuesday.

Let's hope they are not too hung over by Tuesday, but of course, it will be worth it.
