In today’s episode of “Stupid Things said Around the NFL”, Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback and all pro trash talker Jalen Ramsey claimed that after six months of intense training he could “probably crack the NHL.” Keep in mind that Ramsey also admitted that he doesn’t know how to skate...

For real? Unfortunately, yes. Check out these comments:

Jaxsonville Jaguar soundbiter Jalen Ramsey told ESPN Magazine’s Mina Kimes that he could make the NHL after training for 6-months.
“He’s never tried skating,” Kimes writes, “but if he trained for six months, he says, he could probably crack the NHL.”

In a one on one interview with ESPN’s Mina Kimes, Ramsey talked ALL kinds of trash. First he threw New England Patriots all pro tight end Rob Gronkowski under the bus saying, “I don’t think Gronk’s good.  Let me say — I don’t think Gronk is as great as people think he is.”

Then Ramsey addressed wide receive Danny Amendola who was recently traded to the Miami Dolphins. “Look at Danny Amendola, who just signed with Miami. Or is it Edelman? He just got a brand-new contract and he is terrible,” he says. “People think he’s so great. No, he’s not. Tom [Brady] made him look good. Tom could take me as a receiver and I’d be a first-team All-Pro.”

The best part of Ramsey’s ridiculous interview though was when he claimed he’d be able to crack the NHL, despite never having even strapped on skates. Check out these quotes form Kimes’ article:

“He’s never tried skating,” Kimes writes, “but if he trained for six months, he says, he could probably crack the NHL.”

Ramsey reportedly played lacrosse in college and believes that his stick skills can translate to the NHL. Plus, as he points out, “There’s not a lot of black people who do it.”

Where to begin with this clown? First off, no. Just no. Secondly, have we learned nothing from other pro athletes who have tried to crossover into different sports? When was the last time anyone checked in on Tim Tebow? There will only ever be one Bo Jackson, sorry to break it to you Jalen… but you couldn’t crack a beer league roster, forget the NHL.
