Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Eemeli Rasanen is preparing himself for his first World Junior Hockey Championship with team Finland! The 18-year old defenseman, drafted 59th overall by the Maple Leafs in 2017, will look to build on his strong start this season to shine on the international stage, as he will compete against the best junior players from around the world!
The Joenssu, Finland native, scored three goals and added 19 assists for 22 total points in 28 games played so far with the Kingston Frontenacs (OHL), and he has a defensive differential of plus eleven.
Rasanen is currently playing his second season in the OHL, and things keep on looking really good for him! In 105 games played so far, the 6'7", 208 pounds defenseman produced 66 points (regular season and playoffs included).
