Report: Babcock shuffles up lines ahead of next match

Some new lines, and Matthews injury update.

Head coach Mike Babcock has juggled the lines ahead of the Toronto Maple Leafs' "next century" game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday afternoon.

William Nylander slots in at the centre position, while Connor Carrick draws back into the lineup with Nikita Zaitsev on the sidelines with a lower-body injury.

Visibly not completely satisfied with the lines in practice on Sunday, Babcock elected to change things up - here are the lines from Sunday's practice for contrast.

Matthews skated prior to practice but still isn't ready to join the team, it's unclear if he'll be back before Christmas.

Changing the lines may yield some results, but the best solution is letting the players play to their strengths, something Babcock hasn't done as of late. We'll see how it plays out Tuesday at 2pm.
