Pittsburgh Penguins forward Patric Hornqvist was sent back to Pittsburgh for further testing, as he is dealing with an upper-body injury. There was no further information provided from the team. The Penguins are playing against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver tonight.
Hornqvist, 30, has 21 points in 31 games played so far this season. The Swedish forward was drafted 230th by the Nashville Predators in 2005, and was acquire by the Penguins via trade in 2014. In 610 games played in the NHL with the Nashville and Pittsburgh, he registered 383 points, and added 33 points in 72 playoff games, helping the Penguins to win back-to-back Stanley Cups.
