Should the Montreal Canadiens call up a forward? That's what hockey insider Brian Wilde suggested today, and he thinks that the player they should call up is Nikita Scherbak.
The Russian forward, who just got back from his knee injury, scored two goals today for the Laval Rocket (AHL). He now has 12 points in eight games played this season, and the Habs, who are struggling offensively lately, could really use him to produce some offense.
Scherbak, 21, was drafted 26th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 2014. He played five games in the NHL so far, scoring only one goal. At the AHL level, the Moscow, Russia produced 78 points in 126 games played.
What do you think, Habs fans? Could Scherbak help Montreal to score some goals?
