Ottawa Senators head coach Guy Boucher confirmed that forward Colin White will make his season debut tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning! White was recalled from the Belleville Senators (AHL) earlier today, a consequence of Nate Thompson being injured until the January break.

Drafted 21st overall by Ottawa in 2015, White has 13 points in 27 games played in the AHL so far this season, the first year of his professional career. He played two seasons with Boston College (NCAA), producing 76 points in 72 games. It will be interesting to see what kind of impact he will have with the Sens.

The Senators are currently seventh in the Atlantic division with a record of 13-17-9. The Lightning is having a great season so far, with a record of 29-8-3, good for the first position in the Atlantic. Craig Anderson will get the start for Ottawa, and he will be facing Andrei Vasilevskiy.

ICYMI: Mike Hoffman completed the Senators comeback yesterday against the San Jose Sharks, scoring the game-winning goal only seven seconds into overtime to register the 200th NHL point of his career.
