New York Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault said today that unless something happens between now and tomorrow, forward Mika Zibanejad should be back in the lineup to face the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night! Zibanejad returned to practice on Monday, and skated with Chris Kreider and Pavel Buchnevich. He missed the last nine games with a concussion.

Prior to his injury, the 24-year old forward produced 22 points in 24 games played. Drafted sixth overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2011, Zibanejad was acquired by the Rangers via trade in the summer of 2016, in a deal that sent forward Derick Brassard to the Senators. In 361 games played in the NHL with Ottawa and New York, the Swedish forward produced 210 points, and added 17 points in 28 playoff games.

The Rangers are currently fourth in the Metropolitan division with a record of 18-12-3.
