Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon is expected to make his return to action tomorrow to face the Chicago Blackhawks, as reported on Twitter by hockey insider Dane Mizutani. Spurgeon is not in the lineup today to face the Edmonton Oilers, but Mizutani expects him to be back in action tomorrow. Many other hockey insiders believe the same thing, so let's say there are pretty good chances to see Spurgeon on the ice on Sunday!

Spurgeon, drafted 156th overall by the New York Islanders in 2008, has missed the last eight games with a groin injury. In 23 games played this season, the 28-year old defenseman has registered 15 points. He played 471 games in the NHL, all with the Wild, producing 183 games, and added 16 points in 39 playoff games.

The Wild are playing against the Edmonton Oilers this afternoon.
